Tourist Travel Requirements for a Turkey Visa for Indian Citizens
Appointment System
This Consulate operates an appointment system for visa issuance. After we have received all the materials required in support of your visa application, CIBTvisas will schedule an appointment with the Consulate to submit your visa application.
Passport
The applicant's actual passport. The passport must:
- Have at least two blank visa pages
- Be valid for six months beyond exit date
- Not be damaged in any way
Copy of Passport
A copy of the first and the last information page of the applicant's passport
Proof of Civil Status
This must be provided as a colour copy of the following documents:
- Aadhar Card of the applicant
- PAN Card of the applicant
Photographs
You must provide two colour, passport type photographs that meet the following criteria:
- Be taken within the last three months and printed on high quality photo paper
- Be taken against an all white background
- Be 2.5 inches by 2.5 inches in size
- Provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression
- You may wear neither spectacles nor headwear except for religious purposes
- Your photo should not be affixed to your application and it may not display evidence of adhesive or staples
Letter of Invitation
A letter of invitation from the applicant's host in Turkey. A copy is acceptable. This letter must:
- Be addressed to "The Visa Office, Turkish Consulate General in Hyderabad"
- Include the passport number and full name of the applicant
- Be signed by the applicant's host
- Proof of Residency of the inviter: a copy of the inviter's passport and Turkish identity card or a copy of the visa or residence permit
- Proof of address from the inviter that shows the address of residence, with the inviter's contact number
Proof of Travel Arrangements
Details of travel arrangements. This must be provided as:
- A copy of the flight confirmation showing onward/return travel.
- A copy of the hotel confirmation
Proof of Financial Means
The applicant must provide proof of financial means. This must be provided as:
- Salary slips for the last three months with signature, company letterhead and seal
- Applicant's original personal bank statements for the last six months with minimum balance of Rs.100 000 (3 months if retired/freelancer). Copies are accepted if attested by bank
- ITR (Income Tax Return) for last 3 years
- Form 16 (only for Employer)
Applicants working as freelancers must additionally provide contract documents and cover letter if applicable, along with proof of regular income (original or copies attested by bank)Proof of Purpose
The applicant must provide the following documents:
- A Cover Letter from the applicant, with entire travel plan mentioning the purpose of stay in detail, accompanying person's details (if any), duration of stay, occupation, and expenses clause with signature and contact details.
- Original Leave letter from the company on company letterhead paper, stating applicant's designation, period of work, salary, purpose of visit and duration of travel with travel dates, accompanying person's details (if any) with signature, seal and stamp.
Proof of Insurance
Applicants must provide proof of travel insurance that covers the duration of the entire stay in Türkiye
Letter of Authorisation
One fully completed and signed authorization form that can be found within the CIBTvisas Application Pack
Letter of Undertaking
One fully completed and signed letter of undertaking that can be found within the CIBTvisas Application Pack
Visa Application Form
One fully completed and signed visa application form. The form must:
- Be completed in block capitals
- Be printed and signed by the applicant in blue/black ink only
- Be signed by the applicant's parents or legal guardians if the applicant is under the age of 18
CIBTvisas Order Form
Provide the CIBTvisas Order Form included in this kit.
Please note that all card payments will only be made upon completion of the visa application process.
Applicants holding previous passport(s)
Applicants must provide the original of previously issued passport(s), if applicable.If the previous passport is lost, FIR document (First information report) from the police must be provided.
Passports not issued in Hyderabad jurisdiction
Applicants whose passport was not issued within the jurisdiction of the Turkish Consulate General in Hyderabad must provide a registered or notarized rental agreement and company letter. For remote workers, the letter must clearly mention that the applicant works remotely and resides at the address mentioned in the letter.
States belonging to the Hyderabad jurisdiction are: Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Orissa and Chhattisgarh.Married Applicants
If married and spouse's name is not endorsed on the passport, the applicant must provide a marriage certificate. The certificate must:
- Be original
- Be duly issued by the marriage registrar
- Be attested by the notary public
Student Applicants
Students must provide the following documents:
- No-objection Letter from the school or official holiday scheme
- A copy of their School ID Card
Minors
Applicants under the age of 18 must provide the following documents:
- A notarized letter of consent from both parents
- The original and a photocopy of both parent's passports
- A No Objection Certificate (NOC) attested by Indian Embassy or Consulate in the country of residence
- The parent's residence permit/visa of the country of residence
If one of the parents is deceased, a notarized death certificate is required.Business Owner/Sole Proprietor of a Company in India
This must be provided as a colour copy of the following documents:
- GST registration certificate of the company in India
- Registration certificate of the company in India, that includes the name of the applicant and the company
Both documents must be attested by notary public.

Business Cover Letter
You must provide an original Business Cover Letter from the applicant's Indian employer. All letters must be printed on company letterhead that displays an Indian postal address in order to prevent a rejection and possible delays with your visa request.
Note that most embassies require the Business Cover Letter to be dated within one month of application submission.
In addition your Business Cover Letter must:- Be addressed to "The Visa Office, Turkish Consulate General in Haydarabad"
- Include guarantee clause for the expenses during the period of travel
- Be signed by the authorized signatory with name, designation, and contact number
- Be stamped with company stamp

- Be addressed to "The Visa Office, Turkish Consulate in Haydarabad"
- Be signed by the applicant's host

Proof of Financial Means
The company in India must provide proof of financial means. This must be provided as:
- The company's original bank statements of the last three months with bank seal and signature
- Copy of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) certificate of the company in India
Additionally, the applicants must provide proof of financial means. This must be provided as:
- Applicant's original personal bank statements of the last three months with bank seal and signature
- Copy of salary slips for the last three months with company seal
- Copy of income tax returns for the last three years
If the applicant does not have sufficient funds or bank account, a notarized financial support letter by the sponsor must be provided.
Personal Statement
This must be provided as an original personal statement from the traveller. This letter must:
- Be addressed to "The visa office, Turkish Consulate General in Haydarabad"
- Indicate the purpose of the trip
- State passport details
- Indicate the designation of applicant
- State the travel date and duration of stay
- Include who will be financially responsible for the applicant
Proof of Vaccination
A copy of a COVID-19 vaccination certificate. This certificate must:
- State the name of the applicant
- Include the date of vaccination
- Indicate full vaccination against COVID-19

If you have been previously refused a visa, you must provide a copy of the refusal letter.
Certificate of Incorporation
This must be provided as a photocopy of the Certificate of Incorporation (Company Registration) of the Indian company.

When is the best time to apply for my Turkey visa?
The best time to apply for your Turkey visa is 1-2 months before your travel date. However, if you are running short on time, we may be able to process your visa on a faster service at the Embassy’s discretion. -
Do I have to send you my passport to get a Turkey visa? Is it safe to send a passport?
Yes. You will need to send your actual passport, not a copy of it. The Turkey visa is stamped on your passport and will become one of your passport pages. Visa request cannot be processed without your original passport. Because of the importance of your passport, we strongly suggest that you send your application using our secure collection service.
